Welcome to Dorchester Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website dorchestervehiclehire.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services

1. Dorchester Rental

All vehicle rentals arranged with Dorchester are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or at vehicle collection. This agreement sets out the specific terms, conditions, insurance details, charges, and your responsibilities for the particular rental. If any conflict exists between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will govern.

2. Dorchester Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Dorchester, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old to rent with Dorchester (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate to the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid photographic identification and proof of address, together with a payment card in the primary driver’s name, at vehicle collection.

3. Dorchester Reservations and Billing

  • Bookings are accepted via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Dorchester branch. A booking deposit may be requested to confirm your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally payable when you collect the vehicle. All prices are shown in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. ...

4. Vehicle Pickup and Return

  • At collection, inspect the vehicle carefully and report any pre-existing damage to Dorchester immediately. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage identified on return will be evaluated and charged to the hirer.

5. Insurance and Liability (Dorchester)

  • Dorchester includes basic third-party insurance with every rental. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Optional insurance products may be available to lower your financial liability. Please review these options carefully. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount shown in the Rental Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Changes for Dorchester

Dorchester's cancellation and amendment policies vary by booking type and notice period. Please refer to your booking confirmation or rental agreement for the details that apply to your reservation. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges.

7. Dorchester Restrictions

You must not use a Dorchester rental vehicle for:

  • Use of a Dorchester vehicle for any illegal purpose or activity. Participation in racing, rallying, off-roading, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or dangerous materials. Sub-letting a Dorchester vehicle to third parties or allowing unauthorized drivers. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Purposes for which the vehicle is not designed...

Violating these restrictions may result in immediate termination of the rental and additional charges imposed by Dorchester.

8. Limitation of Liability for Dorchester

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Dorchester will not accept liability for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for loss of profits, data or business, resulting from your use of our services. The total liability of Dorchester for any claim will not exceed the amount paid by you for those services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Dorchester Jurisdiction

These Terms between you and Dorchester are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes arising under these Terms fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Dorchester's Terms

Dorchester may amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect immediately upon posting on the Dorchester website. Your continued use of Dorchester services constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
